What it is
The sphenopalatine ganglion sits deep behind the nasal cavity and is involved in several headache and facial pain conditions. It can be reached through the nose with a fine applicator.

Risks
Every injection carries a small risk of bleeding, infection, an allergic reaction, or a temporary increase in pain. Steroid can raise blood sugar for several days. Serious complications are rare, and the specific risks for your procedure will be discussed before you consent.
